Light up the sky: Fireworks show details

DETROIT – In less than two weeks, the sky over the Detroit River will light up with more than 10,000 fireworks as part of the city's 54th Annual Target Fireworks show.

Produced by non-profit organization The Parade Company, the free show will start at 10:06 p.m. on Monday, June 25. The Parade Company joined with the City of Detroit and the Detroit Police Department to gather support from Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

Patrick Brault and Zambelli Fireworks Internationale have choreographed and designed the show—the same team that designed fireworks shows for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The Target Fireworks show can be viewed on Local 4's live broadcast starting at 8 p.m. and News/Talk 760 WJR will do a special radio simulcast throughout the event and provide up to the minute traffic and weather information throughout the day.
