Flashpoint 3/20/16: Snyder on Capitol Hill, marijuana in Detroit, SCOTUS

Gov. Rick Snyder and EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy were in Washington giving testimony on their role in the Flint water crisis Thursday. Marijuana businesses are springing up across Detroit sparking controversy. President Obama nominated Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

Kimberly Gill was joined by Detroit Free Press columnist Nancy Kaffer, Detroit News business columnist Daniel Howes and Local 4’s Kevin Dietz to discuss the Congressional hearings on Capitol Hill. Butch Hollowell of the City of Detroit’s Corporation Counsel talked about the newest ordinances for marijuana businesses. Larry Dubin, a law professor at U of D Mercy, examines the SCOTUS nomination on this week’s Flashpoint.
