Flashpoint 2/3/19: U.S. Sen. Gary Peters discusses issues; emergency alert to turn down heat

DETROIT - Here is what you missed on Sunday's episode of Flashpoint:

U.S. Sen. Gary Peters, a democrat from Michigan made an appearance on Flashpoint to discuss pressing issues facing the nation.

Then a panel of guests weighed-in on Michigan's governor using an emergency alert system to ask residents to turn the heat down. Michigan experienced its coldest temperatures in decades last week and residents were asked to turn their heat down to 65 degrees or less starting Wednesday night until Friday at noon. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's request came as utility companies called upon customers to reduce their gas usage. 

Panelists Ron Fournier, president, Truscott Rossman; Henry Payne, editorial cartoonist; Bankole Thompson, editor in chief, The Pulse Institute and Dennis Darnoi, political strategist discussed the issue.
