Pop Up dining in Metro Detroit

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – There's a new trend in dining across the country and it's catching on quickly in metro Detroit with a number of permanent places opening.

It's called pop up dining.

Chefs host 5-7 course dinners usually costing about $60 a person for just one night.

It's a way to try chefs from out of town, their own menu, or chef's that don't own a brick and mortar restaurant.

Most places are set up with communal seating with strangers to create an entire event of the dining experience.
