The Berkley restaurant is hot and growing. It needs more parking spaces, but at what cost to the surrounding neighborhood?

Residents of Berkley will meet Tuesday night to oppose a new parking lot for Vinsetta Garage diner.

Vinsetta Garage, located at 11 mile and Woodward, is an old auto repair shop which was transformed into a restaurant 3 years ago.

Since the beginning, the restaurant has been lacking parking, forcing many diners to park on the side streets.

The commotion and littering by diners parking in front of their houses is upsetting homeowners.

Now Vinsetta garage is attempting to fix the problem by purchasing 3 houses, which they plan to demolish and turn into a parking lot.

However, residents aren't happy with this solution either.

Many are worrying the parking lot will decrease their property values and result in even more commotion.

Area homeowners will gather 7:30pm tonight at city hall for a planning commission meeting.
