Wayne County hosting health care enrollment events
DETROIT – Wayne County is pushing to make sure every one of its residents are able to sign up for health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
The deadline to sign up is March 31st.
The county is hosting free enrollment fairs:
- Wednesday, March 19, at Cobo Center, Michigan Hall, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (free parking on Cobo Roof)
- Saturday, March 29, at WCCCD's Belleville Western Campus, 9555 Haggerty Road, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Federally-certified health navigators will offer free, individualized assistance to those seeking help enrolling in health plans. Health providers and vendors will also provide important health screenings, health-related information and services.
Those attending Enroll Wayne County events are asked to bring proper documentation: driver's license or identification card; social security number; proof of income/unemployment benefits for family members and any existing health insurance information.
