A closer look at why school sports enrollment is declining

It's not just football seeing a decline

School team sports participation is down for the first time in three decades in America.

It's led by the decline in football participation due to the fear of brain injury. But other sports, including basketball, have declining participation numbers at U.S. schools.

There is growing competition for kids' attention such as phones and video games.
