A UPS driver in Oregon thought he heard a person screaming.
Alarmed, he called his wife, who called the police.
A Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputy cautiously approached the home, The Oregonian reported.
Inside, he surveyed the scene and let out a sigh of relief -- and then a chuckle.
The source of the screams? A parrot named Diego.
Despite the pet's cries for "help" on Monday, Deputy Hayden Sanders found Diego unharmed, The Oregonian reported.
