It's the weekend before Halloween and there are some cool, spirited events happening all over Detroit and the metro area.
Detroit Fall Beer Festival
It’s one of the largest of all Michigan beer tastings in the state. Enjoy incredible food from Detroit area restaurants, and jam out to a lineup of local musicians, while sipping craft beer samples produced by nearly 120 Michigan breweries. This is happening at Eastern Market this Friday and Saturday. Tickets start at $40. Tickets include drink tokens for 15 beer samples.
Harvest Fest Detroit
This is a family friendly event that benefits the Gleaners Food Bank. Bring a non-perishable food item and enjoy hayrides, a kiddie tattoo artist, bounce houses, pumpkins and trick-or-treating for kids and pets. It’s happening Saturday at the Riverfront's newest park, Robert C Valade Park, formerly known as Atwater Beach. Admission is free.
Monster's Ball at The Fillmore
Put your costume on and head to Detroit's largest annual Halloween party. More than 1,700 people will pack The Fillmore Theater to see high-wire aerialists, fire performers and haunted circus performers. There will also be a premium bar, midnight pizza buffet and, of course, dancing. This happens Friday night at 8 p.m. This is a 21 and up event. Tickets start at $20.
Bebidas Al Muertos con Detroit Cocktail Camp
The day after Halloween, the Mexican community celebrates Dia de los Muertos, or the day of the dead. Bebidas al Muertos con Detroit Cocktail Camp at Peso Bar will commemorate this day. The restaurant is partnering with Cabresto, a Michigan-made tequila for the celebration. There will be a tasting session with various tequilas and Dia de los Muertos themed drinks. This event is Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $59, and space is limited.
Spooktacular at Yankee Air Museum
Get your trick-or-treat on early at the Annual Spooktacular at the Yankee Air Museum. Take in some vintage aircrafts while the kids enjoy sweet treats, face painting and Halloween activities. This event is different from other trick or treating events because there is a big candy drop by a HELICOPTER. It's this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
