HOWELL, Mich. – Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert is hosting a brunch Sunday to support Yatooma's Foundation for kids.
The event will be at Diamonds Steak and Seafood from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Gilbert will be working for the entire shift as a hostess and server and hanging out with guests during the event.

Gilbert will also have her new cookbook "My Prairie" for sale and will sign all copies. The book was recently featured on Good Morning America and the Today Show.
Fifty percent of biscuits and gravy sales and a portion of the proceeds from Gilbert's cookbook sales will go to help children who have lost a parent. Gilbert, who lost her father when she was 11 years old, holds this issue close to her heart.
The event is at 209 East Grand River Avenue in Howell.
