Candied Bacon Mac and Cheese

½ quart heaving cream

½ qt milk

8 oz smoked Gouda cheese

8 oz cheddar cheese

Candied bacon

1 quart cavitappi noodles

Buttered bread crumbs

Salt and pepper


Heat cream and milk to a simmer then add both cheeses, whisk until cheese is completely incorporated into a thick, creamy sauce.  Add bacon, noodles, salt and pepper. 

Pour mixture into a baking dish, top with a little more cheddar cheese and buttered bread crumbs.  Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted and bread crumbs are toasted golden brown.
