Rich Rice is back to tell us everything happening around the D!

First, bring out your ugly Christmas sweater and head to Beacon Park Saturday, December 9th to set a new world record. Be there by 6:30 pm to be counted for the attempt at a new record for the largest number of ugly Christmas sweaters. Afterward, stay for the silent disco, food, drink, and the electric light installation. Beacon Park is at Grand River and Cass next to the DTE energy building.

Local 4 will be awarding $1,000 CASH to the person wearing the UGLIEST sweater! 

There's a cool Christmas fashion show happening downriver on Saturday, December 9th as well. A fashion show from C. Creations - C3 Label. Raises funds for the downriver council for the arts. Doors open at 11am Saturday. VIP is $35 and general admission is $25. Located at the James R. Desana Center for arts & culture on 81 Chestnut in Wyandotte. 

If you want to feel like your in the tropics head on over to The Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Pointe. Aguanko will be performing some hot Jazz Thursday, December 12th through Saturday December 9th. Check out their website at www.dirtydogjazz.com for more information.
