DETROIT – This weekend is really about the holidays. Rich Rice is in studio to talk about what's happening around the D.
First, it's the weekend holiday market is happening in the University District. You can find last minute shopping ideas for one of a kind items. The holiday market runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be different locations and times each day.
Next, If your family is looking for some holiday fun The Fox Theatre is the place for you. Buddy The Elf from the Christmas movie "ELF" comes to life on stage in "Elf: The Musical". The stage show follows the movie and adds some Broadway flare. The show runs through Christmas Eve at The Fox.
A Rocking Christmas show is in town. "Trans-Siberian Orchestra" will be at Little Caesars Arena. This is an arena laser show that puts a serious heavy metal twist on Christmas music. There are two shows on Saturday at 3pm and 8pm. Tickets are just $72.
Last, if your into blues, visit our friends at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Pointe. The Queen of Blues Thornetta Davis will be performing there through Saturday. Shows are at 6pm and 8:30 pm.
