Is parents’ phone use to blame for kids’ excessive screen time?

Some call parents’ phone use the new “second-hand smoke”

According to a new study, parents make nearly 4,000 mistakes by the time kids are ready to leave home, but are some of those mistakes unintentional? What’s The Buzz this week is all about the unintended mistakes you might make as a parent. Joining host Jason Carr on the big white couch to discuss it are Blaine Fowler, with the “Blaine Fowler Morning Show” on 96.3 WDVD, Marlin Williams, a technology strategist and the “Scotchanista” on YouTube, and Kerry Doman, the founder of the website for parents, Little Guide Detroit.

So, is parent’s phone use the new second-hand smoke? Do you intentionally, or unintentionally influence your kids to enjoy the same things you do? As a parent, do you try and influence the way your child eats? Is that a good thing?

Michelle Oliver also joined everyone on the couch and shared comments our viewers had been posting on Facebook. You can read them all here:
