On this Giving Tuesday, many of us are searching for ways we can put out good into the world.

If you’re an animal lover, we have an idea for you that might be perfectly suited: Perhaps you can give back by inviting a homeless pet to join your family.

Michigan Humane held an event at Campus Martius in downtown Detroit to introduce all kinds of adorable pets in search of a loving home. People were able to just visit, make a donation to support the causes of Michigan Humane, or take the first steps to adopt one of the many animals.

Anna Chrisman, with Michigan Humane, visited “Live in the D,” where she introduced Starsky, a dachshund/spaniel mix that’s in search of a family who’s ready for a lively pooch.

Donations made Tuesday will be matched to up to $20,000. You can make a donation and find out about more pets available for adoption by visiting the Michigan Humane website.

The Mike Morse Law Firm will pay the standard adoption fees for whoever adopts Starsky.
