Our Michelle Oliver teams up with Lauren Crocker to Find Your Fix for Donuts

DETROIT - Whether you like them jelly filled, chocolate covered, or with sprinkles, donuts are the greatest. You can eat them for breakfast or dessert. We wanted to help you find some of the tastiest, most unique donuts around town so we sent our Michelle Oliver out with 96.3 WDVD's Lauren Crocker to Find Your Fix for Donuts. Here is where they went:

Donut Bar+ Coffee- 29039 Southfield Rd. Southfield, MI

Try their Tres Leches donut. It is a glazed donut infused with there three milk sauce and topped with whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries and a dusting of powdered sugar. This is a very light donut with just the right amount of moistness (sorry for using that word!).

Also try their Holy Cannoli donut. This also starts with their glazed donut, but they cut it in half and fill it with a cannoli ricotta and mascarpone cream. It is then drizzled with chocolate ganache, sprinkled with either chocolate chunks or pistachios, and topped with a cherry. This is a rich and decadent donut best enjoyed with a coffee or an espresso.

Daily Dozen Doughnuts - 32701 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak, MI or 13599 E 9 Mile Rd., Warren, MI

Try their Custard Filled Cruller, it's one of the doughnuts they are famous for. It is their classic cruller (a light and airy doughnut that looks like it is twisted), filled with their custard and topped with chocolate icing. It's a classic that is kicked up a notch!

Also try their Samoa doughnut. This is their yeast doughnut topped with caramel toasted coconut and a chocolate drizzle. It really does taste like the girl scout cookie!

Avon Donuts - 45324 Wood Ward Ave., Pontiac, MI

Try their Maple Bacon donut. This is their classic donut topped with maple icing, chunks of bacon strips and drizzled with more maple icing. This savory sweet treat really feels like a whole breakfast. If your a fan of dipping your sausage in your syrup you need to give this one a try.

Try their Reese's Peanut Butter Cup donut. You may debate about how to say "Reese's" but there is no debate that this is a delicious donut. It is their classic donut dipped in chocolate icing, drizzled with Reese's Peanut butter sauce and topped with Reese's peanut butter cups.
