Detroit teenager missing after leaving home with young man in her aunt's car

Jakyah Demps last seen Saturday on city's east side

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who was last seen Saturday leaving her home on the city's east side.

Jakyah Demps left a home in the 11000 block of Engleside Street around 8 p.m. Saturday. She left with a young man and took her aunt's car.

Police are searching for a black 2011 Ford Fiesta with Michigan plate DPZ9363.

Jakyah is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 135 pounds, has a light complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and black gym shoes.

Jakyah is in good mental and physical condition. Police said this isn't the first time she has run away.
