Vehicles getting safer to drive every year

STERLING HIGHTS, Mich. – It is a situation not a single one of us wants to be in. Unfortunately, car accidents happen every day and sometimes extraordinary measures are needed to save lives. 

The good news is the vehicles we drive are getting safer and safer every year. The bad news? There is a consequence to that. 

The Sterling Heights Fire Department gave Local 4 a look at how it is being forced to adapt to changing designs and materials. 

Those changes are taking place because of new and emerging technology.
