Authorities said there was a heavy fire on the second floor of one of the houses when crews arrived on the scene.

A 69-year-old man died in the fire.

A neighbor broke a window to get another victim, the man's sister, out of the house. She suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene.

One of the neighbors who helped get her out suffered a cut on her hand and was also treated at the scene.

Authorities are investigating. They believe the fire started in a bedroom and was accidental.
