DETROIT - At least one person was killed Thursday in a shooting near Mack Avenue and Van Dyke Street on Detroit's east side.
Family members said the victim is a 19-year-old man. They're not sure what he was doing on the block.
Officials said multiple people have been shot, but only one victim died. One injured person ran a few blocks away and was taken to a hospital.
Witnesses said they heard up to eight shots that were fired by possibly two different weapons.
Detroit police arrived at the scene and focused on a house at the corner.
The man's body was found in front of a home in the 3800 block of Fischer Street. Police said shots were fired from inside and outside the house.
Investigators went inside the home, but did not come out with anyone.
Family members are at the scene.
No further information has been disclosed.
