AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Two men apparently picked the wrong woman to try to carjack this weekend in the parking lot of Great Lakes Crossing outlets.

Auburn Hills police said the 47-year-old Lake Orion woman told them she was confronted by the two men Saturday as she walked to her car.

One of them put a gun to her back and ordered her into the car, but, police said, she refused by dropping to the ground and screaming.

Her screams caught the attention of a witness who was nearby.

Police said the witness, a teen girl, told the would-be carjackers that she was on the phone with police.

The two men grabbed the woman's keys and cell phone and took off. They were subsequently arrested. The victim was not seriously hurt.

The suspects have been identified as Edellis Alexander and Isaiah Herron, both 20 and from Mt. Morris Township.

They have been charged with armed robbery, carjacking, attempted unlawful imprisonment, receiving and concealing a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.

Their bonds were each set at $1 million.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact the Auburn Hills Police Department at 248-370-9444.
