Farmhouse on 22 Mile Road near Garfield Road caught fire Saturday

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Two dogs were killed after a 100-year-old farmhouse caught fire in Macomb Township.

The farmhouse on 22 Mile Road near Garfield Road caught fire Saturday afternoon.

The family living there was not home at the time, but the family's beagle and black lab were.

Firefighters were able to pull the beagle out of the home, but he didn't survive. Firefighters never found the lab.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
