MACOMB, Mich. - The Macomb County Sheriff Office has arrested 31-year old David Diola of Harrison Township (left) and 39-year old Russell Hannan of Roseville (right) in an attempted home invasion.

According to Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, a man from the 24000 block of 29 Mile Road in Ray Township was summoned to his home Wednesday morning by his residential burglar alarm when he encountered two men, one sitting in a small red vehicle parked in his driveway and a second walking from the back of his house.

He confronted the suspects, and they drove away in a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am.

The homeowner followed the vehicle and called the police. Sheriff deputies found the vehicle near New Haven and Omo Roads while other deputies returned to the house and discovered that a screen had been damaged and a doorframe at the rear of the home had been forced open with a prying tool.

The two men were subsequently arrested for attempted home invasion, second degree, a five-year felony. They were arraigned in the 42nd District Court of Romeo.

Diaola was given a $200,000 cash or surety only bond, and Hannan was given a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
