DETROIT – Wayne County executive Robert Ficano is planning to bring new blood into his administration.
He announced Monday that he has nominated business executive Timothy Nasso to be the county's chief operating officer.
The nomination will go before the Wayne County Commission for a vote this week.

Nasso is currently the president of The Nasso Group, LLC, and has past experience in management at Dow Chemical.
Nasso holds a bachelors of arts from Wayne State University and a master's of business administration from Central Michigan University. He has advanced studies in writing and Italian literature and history at the University of Bologna, Italy, and advanced studies in accounting and finance from Walsh College.
