Police believe crooks tried crashing the van into the gas station twice, trying to loosen the ATM inside.

People pumping gas at the station witnessed the failed attempt.

Just miles away from where the van was left, police found another ATM hidden behind weeds.

Police ordered tracking dogs to the scene to try and pick up a scent.

No one is in police custody.
