Troy police stop suspected drunk driver with 3-year-old son in car

Police: 23-year-old mother was weaving in traffic and drove up a curb

Troy police said Greicy Yureimy Gutierrez was driving erratically and hit a curb before they pulled her over near Rochester Road and Player Drive.

TROY, Mich. – A 23-year-old Shelby Township woman faces several charges after Troy police stopped her for suspected drunk driving.

Troy police said Greicy Yureimy Gutierrez was driving erratically and hit a curb before they pulled her over last week near Rochester Road and Player Drive.

Once the officer approached the vehicle he discovered Gutierrez was intoxicated and had her 3-year-old son with her in the vehicle.

Gutierrez registered a blood alcohol level of .11 percent on a breathalyzer test administered by police. The legal limit is .08 percent.

She is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and child endangerment.

Her son has been turned over to his father.

Gutierrez is out on bond and is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 12.
