DETROIT – Detroit police said an officer was hurt Wednesday morning pursuing a home break-in suspect in a chase.
Police said a chase was under way in the area of Harvard and Mack when the officer was cut off and forced to turn into a parking lot. The officer's car hit several parked cars that were part of a dealership.

The officer suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is in custody.
