3-year-old drowns in Southfield hotel pool

Emergency crews pull child from pool, but toddler dies at hospital

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Southfield police were called to the Embassy Suites hotel on Franklin Road for a possible drowning.

Emergency workers were called to the hotel after getting word that a child was having trouble in a swimming pool.

A 3-year-old child was pulled out of the water and rushed to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
