Students suspected of vandalizing Troy High School

Security cameras catch teens in act

TROY, Mich. – Some students could be in hot water after pulling a prank at Troy High School.

According to Troy police, teens spray painted the football stadium and the side of one of the buildings with explicit words and pictures during the New Year's weekend.

Troy High School is currently conducting an internal investigation, but officials said security cameras were used to track the pranksters down.

"Kids have to realize that nowadays, just like they're carrying their cellphones and taking pictures of all of us, so do the schools and businesses in our community in order to protect the property," said Lt. Robert Redman of the Troy Police Department.

Redman also said two Troy High School students have admitted the vandalism. It was unclear if the school will prosecute the students.
