Livonia police continue search for hit-and-run suspect

81-year-old man struck on Wayne Road; in critical condition

LIVONIA, Mich. – The Livonia Police Department said it continues to search for a hit-and-run suspect and is asking for the public's assistance in the search.

Police said a harvest gold, not Arizona beige as police orignally thought, Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable struck 81-year-old Jack Hoskins on Sunday when he was crossing Wayne Road.

The driver did not stop and Hoskins was left lying in the road. He was still in critical condition on Friday.

Police said the car was an early 2000s model Taurus or Sable. It may have minor damage to the pasenger side -- in addition to the missing mirror -- or near the front bumper.
