Woman, 84, killed in Novi apartment fire
NOVI, Mich. – An 84-year-old woman is dead after a fire in a Novi apartment building.
According to police, the fire started Saturday afternoon inside the Enclave Condominium Complex in the 43,000 block of Twelve Oaks Crescent. While the place was being evacuated, fire crews received word that the woman was trapped on an upper floor. The woman was not reached in time and passed away from smoke inhalation.
No one else was hurt.
There is no word what caused the fire.
An investigation is underway.
