Rollover crash leaves woman critical, man jailed


HARTLAND TWP., Mich. – A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition and a 32-year-old man in jail after he lost control of his SUV in Hartland Township.

Early Sunday morning, the 32-year male driver from Fowlerville lost control of his SUV and crashed while traveling northbound on Old U.S 23.

The Chevy Suburban rolled several times and came to rest in a roadside field. A 19-year old female passenger was partially ejected during the crash and had to be cut from the vehicle by firefighters. Transported to the University of Michigan hospital by survival flight, the woman remains in critical condition Sunday night.

Police arrested the driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
