WALLED LAKE, Mich. – A Walled Lake Northern High School student has confessed to being behind two threats that were made at the school in the last week.

In a statement, principal Greg Diamond said the latest threat was made Wednesday, but through the help of security cameras, the student was identified and later admitted to the threats.

The student is in custody of the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.

"We will prosecute to the full extent of the law. Walled Lake Schools and Northern High School administration takes all threats seriously working cooperatively with local law enforcement officials," Diamond said.

The first threat happened last Thursday when a "non-specific" threat was found in a girl's bathroom. The school was briefly evacuated.

School officials had been offering a $1,000 reward for information.
