Danny Acosta, 27, is charged with burglary of a building. An arrest affidavit stated that Acosta stole a kitchen sink from a home under construction.

SAN ANTONIO – Sheriff's deputies arrested a man accused of stealing a kitchen sink from a home in west Bexar County, Texas.

Danny Acosta, 27, is charged with burglary of a building.

An arrest affidavit stated a construction worker building a home in the neighborhood called 911 on April 24 after he saw a man break into the home next door.

Caught in the act

The construction worker told investigators he noticed the suspect, who was later identified as Acosta, walk out of the garage and load the kitchen sink into his car.

The affidavit stated the worker approached Acosta, but was threatened with a knife and stayed away.

Acosta fled the scene, but sheriff's deputies tracked him down and he was positively identified in a photo lineup.

The affidavit stated Acosta was already under investigation for several burglaries in the area.
