86-year-old vet carjacked, accused attacker in court

Man carjacked 86-year-old World War II veteran

DETROIT – Thursday, a judge will decide if the 20-year-old man charged with carjacking a World War II veteran will go to trial.

20-year-old Paris Gomillion is charged with carjacking. The incident happened at a BP gas station on McNichols.

According to police, 86-year-old Aaron Brantley was pumping gas when he was pushed down and his keys were snatched by Gomillion, who drove off with his car.

Brantley broke his leg during the incident and video captured him crawling across the parking lot for help and no one helping him.

Gomillion faces life in prison if convicted.
