DETROIT – A former aide to Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano is facing more charges.

Ficano's former lieutenant county executive, Michael Grundy, was fired this past year from his post as assistant county executive.

He has been facing charges of extortion and accepting kickbacks when he was at the helm of a county health care program. Grundy is accused of handing out contracts to a friend.

On Wednesday, Grundy was indicted on seven new charges including money laundering and conspiracy to launder money.
