Jordyn Wieber greets fans in Novi

Party takes place at AT&T Retail store, autographs

NOVI, Mich. – Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber was welcomed by a crowd of fans Wednesday in Novi.

She was at the AT&T store on Novi Road to greet fans and sign autographs.

Wieber was part of the "Fierce Five," as they are now calling themselves, who will go down in history as the first U.S. women's team to win the Olympic gold medal for the team competition in the last 16 years. The last American women's team to do that was in 1996.

"It's changed my life completely. I don't think it'll ever be the same. It's definitely exciting coming back home and seeing everyone with the gold medal," Wieber said. "Everything's different but it is so much excitement and fun."

Fans chanted "Jordyn" while waiting in line.

"I never get tired of hearing that. It's so amazing to come here and meet all my fans," Wieber said.

Wieber will return home to DeWitt for just two weeks before performing with Kelloggs Tour of Gymnastics Champions. The 40 city tour will be at The Palace of Auburn Hills in November.
