Michigan Lottery: Winner of $337M Powerball comes forward

DETROIT – Michigan Lottery officials say the winner of last week's $337 million Powerball drawing has come forward.

The winner's name, or where they are from, won't be released until the prize is claimed. The winner has a year to claim it.

Lottery officials have said the winner could take home a $241 million lump sum.

The winning numbers drawn Aug. 15 were 6, 27, 46, 51, 56 and Powerball 21.

The ticket was sold in Lapeer at a Sunoco gas station.

It was the third-largest Powerball jackpot in the game's history and the second Powerball jackpot ticket won in Michigan. The first winning ticket, worth $128.6 million, was claimed by Team Victory of southeast Michigan on November 12, 2010.
