Man dies in Rose Township house fire

62-year-old killed in fire at Holly Shores mobile home park, 50-year-old brothers makes it out alive

ROSE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Only one of two brothers who were caught in a house fire early Friday morning in Rose Township made it out alive.

The North Oakland County Fire Authority said the fire started just before 4 a.m. at a home in the Holly Shores mobile home park.

A 50-year-old man was able to get out of the home suffering only from smoke inhalation, but his brother, a 62-year-old man, died in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
