FERNDALE, Mich. – Ferndale police arrested 33-year-old Aimee Sturm early Saturday morning after she hit a police officer at the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Breckenridge.
Police say the officer yelled at her to stop as she turned on to Breckenridge. She struck the officer and rove into a parking lot. When the officer confronted her, she seemed unaware that she hit a person.

A breath test revealed a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .21 when the legal limit in Michigan is .08.
Sturm is charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
The police officer suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.
