Clinton Township police: Thieves caught on tape breaking into gas station

Police say thieves may be responsible for other area break-ins

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Clinton Township police the crooks who broke into a Marathon gas station early Tuesday morning may be connected to at least two other break-ins in the area.

Two men were caught on surveillance video smashing their way into the gas station just before 2 a.m. with a crowbar.

They stole cash from the register and cigarettes, police said.

The same gas station was broken into last week, too.

Police said they think the thieves are also responsible for break-ins at Franks Pharmacy and Northeast Pharmacy, because in all the incidents, the thieves wore white bandanas or masks over their faces.
