DETROIT – Tuesday morning will be warm for students' first day of school, but drivers need to be extra alert for children going to the bus stop because there will be some patchy fog and scattered showers may fall. Lows will be near 70. The afternoon will be warm and muggy with scattered showers still possible. Highs will be in the middle 80s.
Wednesday's weather will be the same before a cold front passes. Morning lows will be near 70 again from overnight, and daytime highs will be in the middle 80s with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
After the front passes, skies clear and more comfortable air arrives. Thursday will be mostly sunny with afternoon temps near 80. Friday will be bright, too, with highs near 75.
