Man charged with shooting involving cab driver in Ann Arbor
Incident on Aug. 30 prompted emergency text from University of Michigan
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with a shooting and carjacking involving a cab driver in Ann Arbor.
Police say Eddie Charles Gardner fired a shot through the windshield of a cab Aug. 30 after getting into an argument with the driver.
The incident had prompted the University of Michigan to send out a text alert to the community - but it was canceled shortly after when Gardner and another person were arrested.
Gardner is charged with attempted carjacking.
