Shock said he was suddenly confronted by an intruder with a knife, but he fought back – holding  the intruder down until police arrived.

The accused thief, 27-year-old Stephen Arms, was charged with home invasion and assault with a deadly weapon.

Police said he had broken into Shock's home a previous time the night before and had apparently returned to steal more things.
