Scott Shuptrine to open in Royal Oak

Luxury furniture gallery opens flagship store

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The long-awaited opening of Royal Oak's newest business and largest retail space along Woodward Avenue is here.

Luxury furniture retailer Scott Shuptrine Interiors will open the doors to its brand new, $3 million flagship store Thursday morning.

On hand for the grand opening celebration will be owner Art Van Elslander, Birmingham Mayor George Dilgard and Royal Oak Mayor Jim Ellison.

"We are thrilled to open the doors to our exquisite new Scott Shuptrine Interiors gallery," says Van Elslander. "We are able to provide our guests the very finest products and services found anywhere. Scott Shuptrine has returned bigger and better than ever."

The store will open to the public at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 7, with a ribbon cutting event beginning at 10 a.m..

Scott Shuptrine Interiors was founded in 1927 and purchased by Art Van Furniture in 1987.
