Romance at the breakfast table: Sexcereal

Canadian-created cereal claims to be made with gender-specific ingredients

Can a cereal improve your love life?

Sexcereal claims to be the world's first and only gender-based cereal -- specifically designed to support testosterone in men and hormonal balance for women.

Ingredients in the men's formula include: bee pollen, black sesame, wheat germ, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds and goji berries.

Ingredients in the women's formula include: ginger, sunflower, chia seeds, almonds, flax seed and oat bran.

The cereal is boasted as being a "Great source of fiber, iron, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids."

On it's website, creator Peter Ehrlich writes about how he came up with the idea while at a vegan food fair.

"The Big Bang it hit me - If I could produce a food where the ingredients are directly connected to gender and if it focused on sexual health and breakfast, the product would connect with lots of consumers. After all, who doesn't eat cereal?  And who doesn't like sex?."

The cereal is in more than 500 stores in Canada and comes in packs - mixed, 3- pack, 6-pack and 12-pack.

Prices range from $19.95 - $109.95 (in Canadian dollar amounts.)
