A new study looks at the prevalence of the Internet in our daily lives by looking at one minuet's time span online.
Listening to music, watching videos, searching for photos, playing games online, updating Twitter and responding to a friend's status update – all produce network traffic.

Chipmaker Intel, tracked this activity and broke the figures down to one minute online.
Every 60 seconds online:
- 204 million emails are sent
- Amazon sells $83,000 worth of items
- 20 million photos are viewed and 3,000 uploaded on Flickr
- 6 million Facebook pages are viewed around the world
- More than 61,000 hours of music are played on Pandora
- More than 1.3 million video clips are watched on YouTube
- Nearly 640,00 GB of global IP data is transferred in just one internet minute
The study also looked at how online data could continue to grow dramatically in the coming years.
Intel predicts by 2015, the number of networked devices are expected to be double that of the world's human population.
The study says it would take five years to watch all the video content crossing IP networks each second by then.
