Clawson police: Man in blue car approached 2 girls who were walking home from school

Girls unharmed by man who pulled up next to them Tuesday on Main Street near 14 Mile Road

CLAWSON, Mich. – Clawson police are telling the community to be more aware after two girls reported being approached by a man in a blue car while they were walking home from school.

Police said two 14-year-olds were walking home on Tuesday from Clawson Middle School on Main Street, just south of 14 Mile Road, when the man began following them.

He eventually pulled over and asked them if they wanted a ride.

They refused and got away unharmed.

Suze Robinson has a granddaughter who attends the same school.

"I didn't have to deal with that as a child. It's unfair these children are in such a scary world," she said. "I have to tell her, 'Don't trust anyone.'"
