DETROIT – A collision shop on Detroit's west side is fighting to stay in business after an arsonist struck early Monday morning.

Investigators said someone dumped several gallons of gasoline on the roof of De Tech Auto Collision on Greenfield Road, near Plymouth Road.

The fire burned through the roof and debris fell into the shop, setting at least three cars on fire.

A water cooler-sized bottle of gasoline was found at the scene.

Owner Sam Chaaban said he thinks someone is trying to run him out.

"Stop this nonsense. Stop this madness. It's not fair. This is a life dream going to waste," he said. "It's tearing me apart."

Caaban said he will repair any customers' cars that were damaged in the fire.
