2 face charges in connection with road rage incident in Macomb Township

Driver tells Macomb County deputies he had gun pulled on him


MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two men have been charged in connection with a road rage incident that happened Tuesday in Macomb Township.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office said the driver of a Ford Mustang called them from the area of Hall and Hayes roads saying someone inside a GMC Denali had pointed a handgun at him.

The Mustang driver said the gun was pulled on him after words were exchanged words with the two people in the SUV. The Mustang driver said the SUV had almost hit his car.

Deputies found the SUV, pulled it over and searched it.

They said they found marijuana and a .40 Smith and Wesson handgun in the center console.

The driver of the SUV, 19-year-old Shelby Township resident Antonio Ibrahim Harmis, was arrested on charges of marijuana possession.

The passenger, 20-year-old Salvatore Putrus Haroon, of Virginia Beach, Va., was identified by the Mustang driver as the one who had brandished the gun. He was arrested on a charge of felonious assault.
